Denys Verhun, the chief editor of the publication Speka, since August of this year also holds the position of chief editor of the unified editorial office of three publications of the media group “Digital Economy”, which includes Speka, MC: Money & Career, and The Page, as he reported on his Facebook page on Thursday.
“Straight to the main point: this will not affect Speka in any way. I, as before, personally manage the editorial office. The new role is an expansion of responsibility,” he wrote.
According to him, these changes are due to the mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the media group’s operational director Vitaliy Novak and the chief editor of The Page, Oleksiy Baturin.
“Thank you to them for their service, and we are waiting for them to return home,” Verhun emphasized.
He also added that from now on, Maria Babenko will be the deputy chief editor for The Page, and Yaroslav Holoborodko will head the deputy chief editor for MC: Money & Career.
“They have been working in their teams for a long time and have proven that they know how to develop their publications. Now Maria and Yaroslav are my deputies in their respective areas,” noted the chief editor of the unified editorial office of the three publications.
He clarified that his task in the new position will be to strengthen each of the three publications in its niche. The editorial office’s shared resources are planned to be used where it yields results, particularly for preparing interviews, special projects, analytical materials, and expertise.
