Ukraine’s defense forces struck two Russian refineries in Orsk and Komsomolsk-on-Amur, over 6,500 km from the border, a Wildberries warehouse, and dozens of targets in Russia and Crimea in the south of the country.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the night of August 11 struck the “Orsknefteorgsintez” refinery in the Orenburg region of Russia with a capacity of about 6 million tons of oil per year. A fire broke out at the facility, the scale of the damage is being clarified – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, according to the Telegram channel ASTRA, another large-scale fire occurred on August 11 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Krai, over 6,500 km from the Ukrainian border, at the Rosneft refinery, which is one of the main suppliers of oil products for the Russian Far East. Its design capacity is 8.5 million tons of oil per year.
In the night of August 11, in the village of Aleksandrovka, Novousmansky district, Voronezh region, drones attacked a large Wildberries logistics complex with an area of 152.9 thousand square meters. The complex is designed to store over 90 million product items – Khronikers. A fire broke out on the territory of the complex.
In the night of August 11, the Unmanned Systems Forces successfully operated against 43 military and energy facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea and in the south of the country – Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, Commander of the US.
In Rotterdam, at the “Crooswijk” cemetery, the remains of the first leader of the OUN, Colonel Yevhen Konovalets, who was killed in 1938 by an NKVD agent, were exhumed – OP. WAR
Defense forces struck a Russian “Buk-M3” worth $45 million in the Luhansk region – General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fighters of the 12th separate brigade of the special forces “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine in the Dobropillya direction delivered a devastating strike with kamikaze drones on a large convoy of Russian occupiers in the enemy’s rear – 12th Separate Brigade of Special Forces “Azov” of the National Guard.
Over 2,500 Russian soldiers are effectively trapped on the Kinburn Spit. The Defense Forces of Ukraine deliver devastating blows to enemy positions daily, despite attempts by the Russians to bring in new reserves – Colonel Denys Nosikov, Commander of the Operational Tactical Group “Odesa”.

Air defense forces neutralized 98 out of 120 drones with which Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the evening of August 10 – Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Bloomberg, Ukraine no longer publicly reports the exact number of Russian missiles launched during massive attacks. This decision is due to a change in the reporting format.

Consequences of enemy attacks
- Zaporizhzhia suffered a combined strike by drones and missiles: seven employees of Zaporizhstal were killed, and 24 more people were injured. The enterprise has been shut down. The Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification was destroyed in the city, the premises of the “Urozhay” bakery were damaged, houses were damaged, and power outages were recorded. Tomorrow, August 12, has been declared a Day of Mourning.
- In Sloviansk, Donetsk region, at least six people were injured due to enemy shelling of the central market.
- In the Odesa region, the Russian Federation hit a truck with an oil tanker during an attack: a fire broke out, two people died, and three more were injured.
- A missile strike hit a children’s hospital in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv: one person was injured.
- In the Kherson region, nine civilians were injured during the day due to shelling by the Russian Federation.
Infrastructure
In the Bucha district of Kyiv region, warehouse premises and trucks were damaged as a result of a Russian attack – Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
In the Snihurivska community of Mykolaiv region, a religious building, a social infrastructure facility, three multi-story buildings, and four private residential buildings were damaged – Snihurivska City Military Administration.
Economy
Combat operations and regular shelling have led to the loss or damage of one-fifth of the bakeries in Ukraine – Oleksandr Taranenko, First Vice President of the Bakers Association.
Ecology
An emergency ecological situation has been recorded in the Kyiv region. In the Borshchahivska community, mass fish kill was observed in three bodies of water – Tymur Tkachenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. Energy
Key power supply nodes have been damaged in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, leaving most subscribers without electricity – Berdiansk City Military Administration.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held an online meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi – Ministry of Energy. The parties discussed further coordination of actions for an independent assessment of risks and the state of critical energy infrastructure, as well as the development of additional measures to strengthen Ukraine’s nuclear safety.
Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha held telephone negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan. Sybiha informed his counterpart about the consequences of Russia’s recent attacks against Ukraine. The parties agreed to continue developing Ukrainian-Armenian cooperation – Sybiha on social network X.
From September 1, some defense industry enterprises may lose their critical status, and the reservation of their conscripted employees may be canceled. This applies to companies that do not confirm compliance with the established criteria within the framework of the review conducted by the Ministry of Defense – Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The State Bureau of Investigation is searching for the “black box” of the MiG-29 fighter jet that crashed on August 10 in the Berezivka district of Odesa region – SBI. A criminal investigation has been opened into the fact of the fighter jet’s crash.

Ukrainian agrarians have already threshed 49% of the projected areas and harvested over 26 million tons of new crop grain; this year, the highest yield was recorded in Khmelnytskyi region – about 70 centners per hectare – Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Ukraine is discussing a new grain export route through Moldova: Kyiv asked Chisinau to provide a 50% discount on railway tariffs for the transit of Ukrainian grain. In Russia, the Supreme Court has removed the “Yabloko” party from the elections to the State Duma, scheduled for September 20. It is the only party in the Russian Federation that was included in the ballot and advocated for the earliest possible end to the war against Ukraine – Russian BBC Service.
Due to the destruction of refineries, problems in Russian business, and colossal expenses for the war, the deficit of the Russian state budget is already approaching 8.7 trillion rubles – twice as much as planned for the entire year – Reuters.
Before Putin’s arrival in Novosibirsk, residents of houses along the route of the cortege were asked not to go outside, not to approach the windows, and to remove their cars – Russian media. Law enforcement officers were deployed along the route from the evening of August 10 – security forces were on duty approximately every 50 meters.
Subsidiary Russian banks are lending to large Belarusian enterprises focused on the Russian market. If the crisis in Russia escalates into an economic downturn, demand for Belarusian products will sharply decrease, and this accounts for almost two-thirds of the country’s total exports – SZR site.
