The Ukrainian response was not long in coming. For example, the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published an image of a burning oil refinery with the inscription “We will warm ourselves with the fire of Russian refineries.”
Ordinary Ukrainians on social media also joined in creating memes. For example, one meme shows Ukrainian “Flamingos” flying from the sky with the inscription “even if stones fall from the sky.” “Flamingos” have already reached the Votkinsk plant in Russia, where ballistic missiles are produced.
In “First Private Memery,” the Russian “snow on the head” was reinterpreted in their own way: this time, Volodymyr Zelenskyys are flying from the sky on small planes.
The company Fire Point also joined the meme wave. In July, their FP-1s, depicted in the meme, reached the Omsk refinery — Russia’s largest oil refinery.
Another meme is based on a pun: next to the phrase “We don’t care about your snow…” a P1-Sun drone is depicted. According to its manufacturer, SkyFall, since November 2025, the P1-SUN has already hit over 5500 Russian “Shaheds.”
Another meme shows a burning “Shahed” and predicts that the snow will melt, and the frostbitten will too.
The Russian two-headed eagle also got its share, turning into a frozen two-headed chicken.
And in this meme, a cat in an embroidered shirt reminds us of the strikes on Russian oil infrastructure, resting against the backdrop of burning Russian oil refineries. “First, survive the summer,” it replies to the threats.
Even the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine joined the meme response. It published an image of Ukrainian drones against the backdrop of burning objects with the inscription “in the cold, birds fly to burning lands.”
Earlier, dev.ua collected memes from Ukrainians after the SBU’s “Web” operation, during which drones attacked Russian strategic aviation. Then, the heroes of the jokes were Vasyl Malyuk, trucks with drones, and burning Russian planes.
